In 2013, the first stone was laid in Gosselies for the Walloon Cell Therapy Platform. This platform, constituted thanks to a public-private partnership, targets the large-scale production of cellular therapy drugs.

The cellular therapy companies Promethera Biosciences and Bone Therapeutics participated in the investment in order to produce their drugs there. The platform, which is unique of its kind, provides Wallonia with a particularly innovative high-tech cluster that will help to meet the expansion needs of cellular therapy companies which are experiencing strong growth.

"This partnership has allowed us to pool our resources and increase efficiency whilst also respecting the know-how and intellectual property of each company".
