Stefan Bendfeldt - EMEA Warehousing Operations Manager
Mölnlycke Health Care (MHC), a Swedish company based in Göteborg, is active in medical items (particularly the treatment of wounds). In Belgium, the company has a factory, a sterilisation centre, a customer service centre and a distribution centre in Waremme.
Stefan Bendfeldt, EMEA Warehousing Operations Manager: "MHC has deployed its activities in Wallonia for more than 30 years. Originally, we located to Wallonia following the takeover of a company. But, the geographic location of Wallonia has proved to be a clear asset for logistics. Furthermore, today, the factory in Waremme now relies on the support of EDC, the largest company in the group. This enables a direct link between the two entities before the products are shipped all over the world."
"This centre is at the heart of our European operations. Its location offers advantages as much in terms of incoming as outgoing flows. We are located between France and Germany, which are our two largest markets. The qualified workforce in Wallonia is also an asset."
