Belgium becomes more attractive to foreign investors
According to the biannual barometer conducted by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Belgium) and the consulting firm A.T. Kearney, twice as many people believe that the business climate in our country has improved compared with neighbouring countries.

This improvement was confirmed by one third of the American and international businesses (17% in 2016) surveyed in this barometer, while 19% believe the opposite (31% in 2016).
Furthermore, six out of ten companies already active in Belgium are considering expanding their activities and 80% of those questioned plan to hire additional employees within three years.

Belgium remains attractive thanks to its "historic assets", such as its highly qualified personnel, its geographical situation and its easy access to other European markets.

The basic corporation tax rate dropped from 33% to 29% on 1 January 2018 and will drop further to 25% by 2020.
