A Ferrero University in Arlon
Following the announcement of a new production line at its current plant, Ferrero has just announced plans to create a Ferrero University dedicated to training managers in its former administrative headquarters in Schoppach.
The site, which is currently standing empty and is listed in the directory of remarkable heritage of Wallonia, will be transformed into a brand new training centre. The project, created by Arlon architects A.3 Architecture, will work with an architectural firm from Turin.
This new investment has allowed Ferrero to put down stronger roots in the economic landscape of Arlon. The brand recently announced an investment of tens of millions of euros in a new production line at its Arlon plant and the creation of a new plant opposite the current one.
The company is currently finalising the purchase of 10,000 square metres of land, which will double its capacity over the next few years.
The company is also putting the finishing touches to the Casa Ferrero site, its global headquarters in Niederanven (near Findel airport in Luxembourg) which will bring together teams currently spread over five sites by the end of 2019.
Vincent Magnus, Mayor of Arlon
This is recognition by Ferrero of both the town and the welcome they have received in our region since they arrived. In terms of employment creation, Ferrero is a key part of the economic landscape.
Ferrero University offers real added value to the municipality of Arlon and will bring it greater visibility and a high level of recognition.
Those following Ferrero training courses will be of various nationalities; they will stay in the town, which will introduce multi-cultural events so they can become involved in the municipality's cultural life and enjoy this growing tourism and cultural destination.
